A Trip to the Farm

We took a trip with Ms. Bonnie to her mother's farm. The children had the best time. We didn't get a picture of the Gator or of Ben getting licked incessantly by the sweet puppies but we did have a great time! We figured out why the dogs loved Ben so much - he had applesauce in his hair so they were having a tasty treat! He did not enjoy one bit. We rode a long ways while Scruffy led us around and all of the other dogs followed along. We saw the cows and longhorns. Above is a pic of Goldie. She was super sweet and enjoyed her dip in the pond. Bax and Lillee loved watching Ms. Bonnie give Chloe her shot for her diabetes while Ben put the cat's toys in his mouth!

Chloe, Buddy, Scruffy, Red and Goldie in the back. You can tell this sweet lady loved her animals.

Happy #53 Nana!

This past weekend we had a birthday party for Nana! We were so glad to see her recuperating so well. The kiddos had lots of fun telling them about school. I welcomed lots of help in packing lunches too!
Mom and I also worked on a big project----details and pics coming soon!
We are already counting the days until September 25 - Nana's return.

If I were a blog with followers, I would highly recommend shopping at www.zappos.com. I had a great experience. It wasn't until 1/2 way into the phone call that I recalled I had ordered probably a dozen pairs of shoes from them this year. Wait, that's more than one pair a month. Let's hope Scott doesn't see this!
So I ordered this pair of shoes for Baxter last week. He wore them for five minutes and the bottom elastic strap broke. I packaged them back up and prepared to send them back. I called the customer service number and had the most pleasant experience. I wanted to order a new pair and because the above shoes were "defective" they said to keep those. When I expressed to my nice new friend the desire to purchase others she said they would do an even swap. I told her the newer shoes were $12 more. "I'm sorry for any inconvenience ma'm. Please accept this discount as our apology."
Wowsers! I'll be shopping here again soon! Probably too soon.
Baxter has been talking about these shoes for a couple of weeks. He says they're just like Cameron's and that is absolutely what his goal is!

11 months = T-R-O-U-B-L-E

This little angel is beginning to be a handful! Can you just see his leg in the above picture? Yes, that would be a climber on our hands!
MISCHIEF
Then there's this sweet picture when he's so happy.
It goes from

10 months

In a couple of days I'll post 11 month pics! These were actually taken on Ben's 10 month birthday but I'm a month late posting. Wow - I guess we've been pretty busy. I must have taken these right when we got back from vacation?
Anywho, this little guy is really beginning to show his personality and let me tell you, HE'S HIS OWN LITTLE GUY!
Temper: short
Patience: thin
Best friend: me
Appetite: large and must feed himself
Independence: gives a look that says, "DO NOT TOUCH ME"
Will: Strong
Sweetness: a lot of love to give!

There will definitely be another outfit for the 11 month pic. This one will not go around our little sausage patty!

1st day of school 2010-2011

I cannot believe these two are both in school. Monday was a little sad. Baxter was a little hesitant but Lillee jumped right up! I think I would have cried if I hadn't had Ben in my arms carrying him out.

Lillee starts 1st grade! What an important year with the most awesome teacher ever. Seriously, Mrs. Laulimiere is DEDICATED to her work! She and Mrs. Hogan are so similar so Lillee is so fortunate to have her.

Baxter has Mrs. Tweedell and Ms. Redding. We are extremely excited about them as well. Ms. REdding is known to carry her little people around the school and if she wants to tote Bax around the halls, more power to her! He hesitated a little before going but she took him right in and found his little seat.

He got off the bus (yes, they rode the bus the first day) and said he did not see Constance. She's in the room next door but very much missed by him. Tuesday he said he did see her on the playground and gave her a hug! I think he likes it. He told me I didn't have to pack him a lunch because they have cooks at the school.

Ben and I have been at a loss of what to do? Just a week ago we were cruising around to the Children's Museum and Centennial Park, Amie's house and waterpark at her house, Carrie's house with Callie, Rebecca and Thomas (more on that soon) and hanging out with some of our favorite friends. Now, we're just playing ball in the den! I'm sure he's a bit bored with me! He is very happy around 3 p.m. when his brother and sissy get here!

We're already looking forward to the first break? Labor Day?

Bax

We've been busy getting ready to see the Mouse at Sea! I packed the five of us and it seriously took me three full days. It's so odd to me that we won't be able to take a quick trip to Wal-Mart if we forgot anything. So I had us all packed up and ready to leave around 10 a.m. Upon loading the last piece of luggage to the growing/bulging car I found a flat tire. I had just had a flat tire last week when our sweet friend's hubby nicely drove it into town to get a plug. Now, here I stand with 3 kids waiting to get to Nana's house. We loaded up and made it down to the tire joint. I tried to play the sympathy/going on vacation card but there was a friend of mine there with three small kids so I had to wait our turn! Ugh.
We're here safely and were ready for our photo shoot at 7:30 a.m. Yikes! Everyone did really well. Ben took a couple of pics but he was unsure of being out in the woods this early! I cannot believe we were taking Lillee's pic this time two years ago.
We've spent time with Grandma and played at the playground on Jekyll with some other great friends. The kiddos have been swimming and playing ball with Papa. I'm so sad to be leaving Ben for these few days but I'll bet he'll be really good for Nana and enjoy the Rowell reunion! Lots of cousins to hold!
